#BATTLEOFTHE BANDS @The Blackbird Hall

A night with 4 fantastic local bands to raise money for  worthwhile charities- what could be a better way to spend a Friday night in November? It all happened last night in the Blackbird Hall at the Flamingo in Surrey. Event proceeds went to the winning band’s charity of choice.

First up was The Molten Blues Band sponsored by Steam Whistle Pilsner

Hard drivin’ blues…Texas shuffle and winners of the 2017 Fraser Valley Music Awards Best  Performance Artist of the Year.

Thanks to Cecil English and Donna Mabbett for lending their sound expertise for a smooth transition  of setting up each band!

Next up was The Escapes, a young band from White Rock sponsored by Railtown Café . They  got the house dancing with their unique style of jazzy, pop funk  songs.

Get ready… pedal to the metal! These guys put on an energetic, dynamic show…..Fast & Furious

Phoenix Tattoos sponsored the final band- Robots & Gods

Winner of the 2016 Live Acts Best in Vancouver, Top Ten Muzooka Artists of 2016, this Vancouver based band is melodic rock at its best.  The lead singer weaved  wonderful melodies in and out of heavy chords and tight rhythms.
