Local Wildlife at Serpentine Fen

Today was sunny with blue skies on a cold, crisp November day. I headed out to Serpentine Fen, which is a  sanctuary for thousands of migrating birds. Walking around the trail  which is approximately 3.5 kilometers around 71.3 hectares of marshlands, meadows and waterways,  I saw so much wildlife with  the snow covered mountains as a spectacular backdrop . Northern Flickers, Eagles, Seals,  Coyotes , Great Blue Herons and some very plump looking  Cedar Waxwings in a tree.
